Advancing Community-led Climate Action
On 15 December, during the 11th edition of Development Alternatives' TARAgram Yatra 2024, the India Climate Collaborative is co-hosting a panel discussion on the beautiful Kanchna Bank in Orchha, Madhya Pradesh, along the River Betwa. Titled "Advancing Community-led Climate Action”, this session will explore how locally driven climate action can make vulnerable regions resilient. It will spotlight successful collaborative models among CSR funders, non-profits, governments, and other key stakeholders, illustrating how diverse actors can together overcome barriers and amplify local impact, with socio-economic and climate benefits. Aligned with the TARAgram Yatra's theme of ‘investing in the local and green’ and the ICC's mission to channel philanthropic capital toward impactful climate solutions, this session highlights CSR's potential as catalytic capital. It underscores the importance of strategic collaboration in scaling climate action, fostering resilience, and driving systemic change at the grassroots.
